Brief Overview

The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of robust electrical control systems that integrate seamlessly into new or existing appliances. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative electronic features that delight our customers. This person will be the key focal point for specifying hardware and/or software solutions, developing algorithms that provide superior customer benefits, and thoroughly testing the overall system. You will possess a strong desire and the skill to drive critical design decisions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to grow your systems engineering, embedded design, and project management skills while working with a world class controls team.

What You Will Do
Work in the rapidly growing field of advanced appliance controls to create and deliver customer focused solutions to the marketplace
Translate product requirements into Electronic Control specifications
Drive systems solutions that optimize cost, performance, and time to market
Provide leadership on major projects
Conduct product/process FMEAs and technical design previews
Coordinate project activity with marketing, suppliers, laboratories, manufacturing divisions, codes and other engineering functions
Apply Six Sigma tools and logical problem solving methodologies
Provide key solutions to challenging issues
Work with and learn from a world class controls team
Develop technology in the areas of sensors, algorithms, and electronics to support innovation
Work in an environment where diversity of people, thoughts, opinions, and ideas are valued and encouraged
Qualifications:
What You Need To Succeed
B.S. in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or the equivalent in demonstrated knowledge
Minimum 2 years experience in an electrical engineering field
Understanding of Robust Product Design process
Excellent project management and communication skills
Knowledge of control theory and algorithm design
Outstanding inter-personal skills with the specific ability to interact as a leader
Strong critical thinking skills
Exposure to Six Sigma methodology with certification a plus
Capability to work across functional boundaries to solve problems
Understanding of embedded hardware and software design is a plus
Experience with system simulation (Matlab/Simulink) tools is a plus
Experience in the field of Systems Engineering is a plus
Experience with design and application of various sensor technologies is a plus
Ability to travel domestically or abroad
Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 25 lbs., including push/pull of 150 lbs.
