The successful candidate for the role as Communications & Change Management Senior Manager will be an integrator - a specialist in bringing together people, processes and technology to optimize transformational change for the company. This role will work closely with various Business leaders across multiple regions and teams to achieve large-scale transformation objectives; i.e., organizational effectiveness and technology solutions. This role will develop the strategy for change, design detailed change management plans, engage the organization through various communication formats, and track success of adopting and leveraging new tools, behaviors, processes, and work enhancements to strengthen organization performance.
Reporting Relationships: The position will report in to the Director of Global Communications and Change Management.
Duties and Responsibilities Day to day activities will include but are not limited to:
- Driving sustainable business outcomes through effective
communications and change management.
- Understanding stakeholders, communication and change
management needs to shape a plan for connecting our
employees to a common purpose, vision, strategy, and key
priorities.
- Working with senior leaders, peers, and project team
members to develop and deliver measurable
communications aligned with the Company's strategic
objectives and transformation project priorities.
- Working as part of a team with colleagues from Corporate
Center, the North America Region, the Global HR function
and regional communicators.
- Measuring the success of the change strategy through
metrics and organizational feedback.
Overall responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Change Management Develop proactive, comprehensive
change management plans, to include senior leadership
alignment, key stakeholder and impact analysis, resistance
identification and resolution, communications, employee
and user training, and success metrics, tracking and
reporting that deliver business objectives.
- Cross Functional Collaboration Develop necessary
partnerships globally to achieve strategy and outcomes.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels
with the key teams, Whirlpool stakeholders, and others
(vendors, partners, etc.) to ensure successful
implementation.
- Training & Education Work with the companies Subject
Matter Experts and other 3rd party vendors to create and/or
manage the change management, communication and
training plans for new technology and work.
- Communication - Create and deliver innovative, two-way
communication solutions that drive better alignment,
understanding, embedment and dialog within the
organization. Leverage various technologies and
communication vehicles.
- Metrics Tracking & Reporting- Measure success of change
interventions and drive action to sustain change by
analyzing and interpreting employee data and feedback
Qualifications & Education and
Experience:
- 5 to 7 years experience in organizational
communication and change management (consulting and
HR Transformation experience a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, HR, or a
related field minimum. MBA and/or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated business acumen an understanding of
business priorities, challenges, and direction to drive change
and desired outcomes through a robust communications
strategy.
- Proven ability to create change and communication
strategies that deliver successful results, while distilling
complex messaging into simple solutions that various
audiences can connect to and understand.
- Strong influencing and consultative skills including
experience in establishing credibility and demonstrating
diplomacy when managing key stakeholders.
- Accountability Ability to demonstrate ownership, both
individual and shared, to achieve results.
- Experience leading change efforts in large-scale
transformation projects that include organization, business
process and supporting systems changes.
- Excellent critical thinking, sound judgment and effective
decision-making ability.
- Mastery of communication vehicles and tools; i.e., social
media, etc.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment, strong
resilience to overcome challenges, and manage multiple
priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience in a consumer products and/or manufacturing
environment preferred.
