Overview:
Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for an Associate Category Manager within the NAR Refrigeration team, to own the ongoing strategy for the Category leveraging analytics and competitive knowledge to develop recommendations to grow the business.
Day to Day( what a typical day or week look like in this role)
The Associate Category Manager NAR Refrigeration will be the key team member to analyze both internal and external data to develop recommendations to drive profitable growth. They will also be the category expert on competitors understanding their strengths and weaknesses to drive our strategy.
What You Will Do:
Analyze external data (SMART), synthesize data, develop recommendations, and drive solutions
Market share data (Traqline, NPD) to identify trends and opportunities to win share and increase mix
Point of Sale sku detail to develop recommendations for sales channels on flooring and promotional opportunities
Balance of Sale and Balance of Floor information to identify customers with opportunities for growth
Analyze internal data (SAP/BEX/SMART), synthesize data, develop recommendations, and drive solutions
Assessing sku profitability and productivity across all channels
Tracking meet comp pricing and contract quotes to identify nonproductive discounting
Perform post-audit analysis of promotion to determine ROI and make recommendations for future promo plans
Develop Trade Customer Presentations
Develop compelling Trade Customer specific presentations that drive results
Act as Competitive Champion
Deep understanding of competitive model lines (Own and keep GAP up-to-date)
Collaborate with channels to understand branded and competitive flooring for top twenty accounts
Work with GPO to understand cost structure and manufacturing footprint for all competitors
Merchandise and support all Ice Makers, Under Counter, Built In, Top Mount and Freezer refrigeration products.
What You Need To Succeed:
Bachelors degree in marketing, finance or related field required. MBA preferred.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in marketing, sales, finance or related field
Strong analytical skills with aptitude in Microsoft excel
Understanding of financial implications based on changes in pricing (PMR)
Grasp of product marketing methods and processes to ensure growth
Proven ability to work independently and develop strategy based on fact-based analysis

Ability to develop and manage strong relationships
Strong consumer focus
Exceptional communication skills (including verbal, written, presentation)
A background delivering within a matrixed organization
In-depth knowledge of the appliance industry is desirable
