Summary:
Provide training, job coaching and support for clients at job sites.
Implement the goal-oriented services called for in the individual written plan of assigned clients.
Obtain, record, and maintain appropriate documentation.
Duties And
Responsibilities:
Provides community employment services and other services as requested.
Provides job training and coaching of clients, assists them to learn and maintain the job and improve their performance, assists in the resolution of client problems, and is liaison between The Center for Growth and Independence and job sites.
Assist clients to understand and develop socially and vocationally appropriate attitudes, interests, skills, and abilities in both vocational and non-vocational areas.
May provide and/or recommend supportive services including transportation to job site(s), advocacy, and coordination of services.
Counsels and educates people (employer, staff, etc.
) to provide natural support needed for the clients to maintain employment.
Communicates appropriately with The Center for Growth and Independence staff, employers, and sponsoring agencies as appropriate regarding assigned clients, both verbally and in writing, on a timely basis.
Completes forms, case notes, reports and other documentation as needed, and submits them to intended audience on a timely basis.
Ensures the provision of a safe working environment for both staff and clients.
Projects a good role model in dress, manner, and speech; keeping confidentialities in dealing with clients/staff.
Inform the supervisor when supplies and/or equipment are needed.
Attends all appropriate meetings and conferences as needed.
Serves as committee member or chairperson as appointed by Executive Director Maintains an awareness of other job placement services and incentives that The Center for Growth and Independence clients/employers served may be eligible for.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED Valid Driver's License Reliable Transportation Valid Insurance coverage on personal vehicle Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong desire to work with individuals with disabilities.
Able to demonstrate the appropriate skills to pass all required training.
Able to pass all background checks and drug test.
Retain a working cell phone for emergencies.
Lived experiences with behavior health issues are desired.
