Job description The Evening Social Attendant is responsible for ensuring food quality is superb, timely, adhering to all Health and Food Safety codes.
Additionally, the prompt recognition and seating of all guests in the great room seating area as assigned and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to guests throughout their food and beverage experience.
He/she is also responsible for immaculate cleanliness of the kitchen, buffet, and entire great room seating area, along with other assigned areas in/around the hotel.
Education &
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Ability to stand during entire shift.
Mental Requirements:
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.

Essential:
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Maintain regular attendance, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
Comply at all times with Hotels standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
Greet all guests in a timely manner.
Be attentive of guests' needs, assist in providing a pleasant breakfast experience.
Ensure quality control of Social items with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
Perform opening food preparation and closing cleaning duties according to established checklist.
Practice energy conservation at all times.
Ensure par levels are established and maintained.
Ensure inventory is done daily with once to twice weekly ordering (depending on occupancy) Ensure food items are properly stored and dated (FIFO, first in, first out) Attend meetings/training as required by management.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Acknowledgements:
The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates.
In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times.
